World on Your Plate: Dutch Saturday 21 August | The well-known Dutch appetite for substantial, straightforward but incredibly tasty fare was showcased at the Museum on Saturday. We joined Auckland's Dutch community and Willem van der Velde, the proud owner of two Dutch Delight stores on Auckland's North Shore. Willem demonstrated how to make poffertjes, traditional Dutch batter treats like small fluffy pancakes. Visitors sampled the poffertjes followed by performances from the Auckland Dutch Dancers.
